We have pictures of some very large billboards that have gone up in Beijing as part of the "Say 'no' to shark fin soup" campaign that we're conducting together with WildAid. All of these billboards are in the Chaoyang district of Beijing. According to Wikipedia, the Chaoyang district is one of the fastest growing parts of Beijing, and is home to many foreign embassies, the well-known Sanlitun bar street, as well as Beijing's growing CBD. The Olympic Park, built for the 2008 Summer Olympics, is also in Chaoyang, as is the Beijing Capital International Airport.
These are the last of the billboards to be installed as part of the billboard campaign we ran beginning last November through the early part of this year and that many of you contributed to. As the campaign developed, billboards were installed in Beijing and Shanghai. Video monitors playing our shark fin soup advertisement with Yao Ming were included in Guangzhou. And now, these impossible-to-miss billboards have been added.
