Nikole Ordway |
Nikole Ordway's is Shark Savers' is Florida Volunteer Leader. She works with the local dive community promoting our 'citizen science' program SharksCount and trains scuba divers and dive operators in the method, importance, and conservation value of logging shark sightings. Nikole is originally from San Diego, California where, at 12 years old, she started diving with her father. Her professional diving career started in college when she joined the San Diego State University Dive Team and graduated with a degree in Biology, emphasis in Zoology. After lots of cold-water diving, Nikole moved to Hawaii for a year then landed in Florida in 2009. Currently, she is a PADI Master Instructor with one of South Florida's premier dive shops, Force-E. Nikole is also involved in many ocean conservation and research projects such as Shark Savers Ban-the-Fin program, ReefCheck surveys, a goliath grouper study and the Florida Hawksbill Turtle Project. |
