We use other companies to provide secure services to us for email management, list management and donation fulfillment. These companies store your information and have strong industry reputations regarding privacy.

In addition, Shark Savers has enabled Social Twist’s ‘Tell a Friend’ widget that makes it easy for you to share Shark Savers with your friends. If you choose to use this widget, it requests information that helps you access your contact information or allows you to enter your friends’ names and email addresses directly into the widget. Shark Savers neither has access to nor stores any of that personal information. Social Twist’s privacy statement states that it does not store or use this personal information, either. When you sign a petition, we ask for your name, email address, address (optional), city, state, and country. We may use your email address for signature verification, but we do not provide your email address to others or post it on our site. The target of the petition will receive your name, city, state, country, and comment, if any. You will also be given an opportunity to have your name publicly displayed on our web site or to remain anonymous. If you have allowed us to publicly display your name, we will post your name, city, state, country, and comment on our web site. If you have requested to remain anonymous, we will only display your city, state, country, and comment. If your name has been posted on the site, it will be visible to the search engines, such as Google and Yahoo. If you want to prevent being recorded and indexed by the search engines, do not request to have your name displayed. If you wish to have your name removed from the list or to have it changed to ‘anonymous’, email your request with your name and email address to info@sharksavers.org.
