For the past twenty years, Douglas David Seifert has worked professionally as a writer and award-winning photographer specializing in the marine environment and its inhabitants. Formerly Senior Contributing Editor of DIVE Magazine in the United Kingdom, he now holds the masthead position at DIVE Magazine as World Editor. DIVE Magazine is the largest-circulation, English language dive publication in Europe and the official publication of the British Sub-Aqua Club (BSAC). He produces, photographs and writes the popular monthly feature called Water Column. He has written and published over eighty in-depth features and reportage over the past fifteen years.

His images of a family of Sperm Whales in the Azores were awarded a bronze medal by the United Nations Environmental Program in 2000. He was grand prize winner of the 2000 Papua New Guinea Underwater Photographic Competition. In 2002, his image of manta rays was chosen as Grand Prize winner in the Oceans category by Nature’s Best Magazine. His work has been awarded in multiple years by the prestigious British Wildlife Photographer of the Year Competition.
Mr. Seifert is also Chairman and Project Coordinator for Tiny Bubbles Expeditions, Inc., a Florida-based expedition company providing photographic opportunities for professional filmmakers and avid, discriminating divers. Tiny Bubbles Expeditions, Inc. maintains contact with journalists and photographers, scientists and researchers, tourism agencies and tour operators in over thirty countries and is constantly kept abreast of the latest marine developments.
