Manuel Wendt’s passion for sharks started when he was snorkeling at the Great Barrier Reef in Australia. He was overwhelmed by the grace and elegance of the sharks that surrounded him and allowed him to spend some time with them in the water.

But when he learned that these beautiful animals were in trouble and are facing the thread of extinction, and that the magnificent coral reefs will be gone in a few more years, he decided to help save the sharks.

Born and still living in Germany, unfortunately far away from the sea, he works for a local savings bank and is studying Finance at university. His holidays he spends travelling through the various countries of the world exploring their different landscapes and wildlife and of course is looking for opportunities to snorkel with sharks.
