I petition against the killing of sharks for their fins. Sharks are an essential component to oceanic food chains. Without sharks the ocean biome would collaspe. In addition, shark are a valuable resource to ecotourism. Please push to prohibit the destruction of valuable shark populations.

While i totally agree that that this is wrong our energies would be better spent on tackling the human population explosion. More people inevitably mean more exploitation and destruction. No one seems to question our 'divine right' to go forth and multiply. That is the issue which needs tackling for all our sakes
