Sharks are one of the main reasons I have gone to Palau twice and plan to go again. Please do not open up the water for these beautiful creatures to be destroyed.

It's time to wake up to the fact homo sapien is only caretaking this planet for about 70 years per person. You cannot go on raping it. You have a duty to leave it in a better condition than you found it. By the how much is diving tourism worth to your country?

Fishing of sharks should be against the law in EVERY country, they are beautiful majestic creatures who have survived for so long and will be destroyed by the selfish greedy nature of man!

For not only the environment but also your tourism industry, say no to commercial shark fishing.
3904. Paul Horscraft, Sheffield, United Kingdom
Shark finning is not a sustainable industry. Diving tourism is. More money will be made in the longer term by protecting your sharks rather than allowing them to be slaughtered. Divers will pay again and again to see sharks, all you have to do is keep them alive and collect the money from the tourists. Please resist the temptation of short term gain and allow the rest of the world to visit your beautiful country and swim with these magnificent creatures.
